TIP SERVES THREE MAJOR PURPOSES 1) Unlike any other human service agency, TIP volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are authorized to respond to the scene within 20 minutes at the request of the emergency first responder (EFR). This rapid response enables the police officer, firefighter or emergency room personnel to be "freed up" to respond to other cases knowing the citizens in need are getting the support required as noted on follow-up evaluation. |

Board of Directors includes police, fire and hospital officials along with community leaders in the towns of Andover, Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover and Haverhill. |
